There are certain things that New York City can expect every Fashion Week: Uber-talented designers, fabulous parties with fabulous guest lists and of course, skinny models galore; and this season was obviously no exception. However, Michael Belfonti and Adam Hochfelder of Belfonti Capital Partners, LLC along with designer, Peter Som shook things up with one very large model – the unveiling of the first luxury residences to combine both architectural sophistication and innovation with world class fashion. And where better for this building than right across from the mecca of Fashion Week, Bryant Park.

On February 8th the Young and the Trendy of New York's social elite poured into 485 Fifth Avenue in a scene normally reserved for the sidewalk outside of Bungalow 8 – bouncers controlled the crowds on the opposite side of the velvet rope as those with clipboards checked off names such as Tinsley Mortimer, Sarah Wynter, Lisa Airan, Coralie Charriol Paul, Dylan Lauren, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Euan Rellie, Damon Dash, etc. Once inside, guests were greeted by hosts Peter Som and Amanda Hearst while they walked by four flat screen televisions showing Peter Som runway shows. They then entered into the main room - an incredibly large space with breathtaking views of the city. "Surrounding yourself with luxury is something that extends from the clothes I design to where I live," explains Som. "485 Fifth Avenue is an expression of an elegant lifestyle."

The scene went something like this: As you loop around the giant living room and make your way past the glittering bar, complete with "models-slash-waiters" serving the decadent hors d'oeuvres of Serena Bass, you can't help but get star-struck at the state-of-the-art kitchen, complete with stainless steel everything, wine storage and the counter space you’ve dreamed of your whole New York life.

As you pull yourself away and continue on, stopping briefly to say hello to Nina Garcia and Meredith Melling Burke and to praise Adam Hochfelder and Michael Belfonti for such an incredible space, you eventually find yourself in one of the most beautiful bathrooms you’ve ever seen, complete with a floating bathtub overflowing with ice cubes and bottles of Veuve Cliquot. Models chat by the sinks as socialites schmooz by the huge open shower. (And you thought your bathroom was big enough to have a party in it – this one really did)

Photographers swarm as Adam Hochfelder and Dylan Lauren chat by the floor-to-ceiling windows. Michael Belfonti converses with Jenene Danenberg, concierge to the stars, who will be working with Belfonti Capital to provide the residents of 485 Fifth Ave with incomparable first class services, catering to their every need and desire, be it a last minute table at Nobu, VIP box seats at the US open, or a private jet.

As you float from room to room, you compliment Bronson Van Wyck for his uncanny ability to create the heavenly glow that lit the entire space by filling the rooms with white votive candles atop clear Lucite pedestals. You spot Ally Hilfiger and Francesco Civetta having a laugh on the couch as Rachel Roy and Damon Dash pose for the cameras. There is no denying the classic elegance, beauty and all-around fabulousness of everyone and everything at this party; a true representation of everything high fashion evokes.

When asked for a comment, Mr. Belfonti said, "The residences come with the very clear imprimatur of good style and taste. 485 Fifth Avenue is not just a building; it's a lifestyle from the moment you step into the lobby."

As the night turned into the early hours of the morning, DJ Blue continued to play as it was obvious nobody was ready to go home – or better yet, they were ready to call 485 Fifth home.
